Find a Therapist
Currently, BrainWorking Recursive Therapy® (BWRT®) is the only therapy registered by The Society, though it is possible that other neuroscience based therapies will be added later on.
If you are:
- NHS Medical Staff,
- A University Student
- Armed Forces personnel
- Emergency Services
- On State Benefits
You may be eligible for professional therapy at no charge via the Voluntary Provider Scheme within BBRS - this is subject to each individual volunteer practitioner's discretion and their avaiability. Please Note: This is not a 'free for anybody who asks' scheme but is strictly limited to the five criteria listed above.
All Registered Practitioners of The Society are subject to continuation of training and development, though there are different grades of membership and some conditions will respond faster and more effectively to the more advanced therapist.
The membership grades (which are as much a reflection on how long they have been registered with us as of their level of skill) in order are:
- Associate Member
- Practitioner Member
- Advanced Member
- Accredited Member
All grades will be able to work effectively with most problems and conditions such as anxiety, stress, panic attacks, phobias, etc. For more serious issues such as alcohol dependence, severe OCD, poor self-belief, severe depression, addictions, gambling problems and deeper-seated problems, you will fare best with a practioner who is showing (BWRT Level 2) after their name.
All members of this Society have been properly trained in a neuroscience-based therapy and will hold a ‘Member in Good Standing’ certification for the year to show this. If a therapist does not hold such certification, they may not be genuinely registered with us.
